We all need an open window to someone other than ourselves, to talk to. Coming from a teenagers point of view, we can’t always talk to our friends. They are great for a lot of things, but if your really having a bad day or even in a fight with the one friend you could talk to, a parent is someone you can always go to. Most parents won’t judge you and even if something is really bad, and you feel like they won’t forgive you, remember that they will love you no matter what and will always forgive you. They are there for you even if it doesn’t seem like it.

As teenagers, we don’t realize how important communication is for the future and feel like our parents don’t know anything, but even though they don’t understand our electronics, teachers, and what we feel, they do have more life experience than us. The rest that they don’t understand about you needs to be given to them by you. it’s a partnership, not just a one way street. You may not know it, but they are dying to talk to you and give you their insight on life, so let them. Let them enter so that both of you may benefit from your open window.
